The AFT answered all of our questions.

"Prior to coming to the Autism Foundation of Tennessee, we tried a number of different things for our son, including Extended School Year options. It kept our son from regressing, but didn't help him progress. He needed a structured learning and playing environment. We found that at the AFT and got wonderful results! Our son actually made progress and was much happier and better adjusted. The foundation helped us with a significant problem of potty training our son. They also helped with their social skills group and with the extra ABA therapy time they offer during the weekends. Our son needs social skills, OT and speech therapy and we are happy to maintain this relationship with the AFT. We didn't know very much before coming here, and the AFT has helped us learn so much about ABA therapy and what is possible for our son! The AFT answered all of our questions. I'm excited to see the foundations new offices and where our son will continue his therapy!"

We love it and they will have to kick us out before we leave!

"I came to the Autism Foundation of Tennessee at the very beginning of this journey with my daughter towards the end of 2005. We had tried OT elsewhere which wasn't working due to the distance from school and work. The therapy wasn't very personal and was difficult if even the simplest of changes was needed. We also discovered our daughter needed more than just OT. At the Autism Foundation we noticed results immediately from the first session. As we continued with sessions our child became calmer and we began to function as a "normal" family. When you first start out, everything is so confusing as to what direction to go. It was all so new to us. It was important to not only find the right type of therapy for our daughter, but also the right therapist. The staff at the AFT is truly caring and always willing to help. I would recommend the foundation to anyone who isn't sure where to start. We love it and they will have to kick us out before we leave!"

We could never say thank you enough for what the Autism Foundation does for all children.

"We could never, ever be thankful enough to the AFT for the work they've done with our son, Dillon. His growth and development is the key to his future and the staff at the AFT has worked endlessly with Dillon. He has made great strides and as his parents we could not imagine what education level our son would be at without the foundation. Dillon is enthusiastic about school at the AFT. We know that without the efforts of the great staff, Dillon would not have the skills to develop a normal existence. We are specifically thankful to Dustin Ellis for his tireless efforts, dedication and respect to our son, Dillon. We could never say thank you enough for what the Autism Foundation does for all children."

The AFT has become a huge part of our lives.

"My daughter, Katharine, has been coming to the Autism Foundation since Spring of 2010. The AFT came recommended from the TriCare Echo Program. Up to that point we'd being a psychiatrist on base that was helping Kat very little. We've noticed a dramatic improvement in our daughter since the AFT has been coming to our home for therapy. If it weren't for their constant love and commitment to Kat, I wouldn't know how to handle her. The AFT has become a huge part of our lives. The work that has been done has brought Kat and I closer as mother and daughter."

The staff at the Autism Foundation is wonderful and works well with my son.

"We did ABA Therapy when we lived in Alabama and it definitely worked. We chose the Autism Foundation based on reading the website and talking with the Clinical Director. After only four months, I was surprised to see my son know more than I expected. His goals are challenging yet achievable. I was concerned our insurance wouldn't cover all the therapies needed for my child, but they have been great with all of the services and working with the AFT. My son is so happy coming to therapy. The staff at the Autism Foundation is wonderful and works well with my son. I know that whatever situations come up at home, school, or going to Wal-Mart I can count on the AFT to help."

I am so thankful for the love and patience the AFT has given him.

"I've been bringing my son, Bond, to the Autism Foundation since the Spring of 2010 with the recommendation of a friend. Special Ed classes in preschool and kindergarten were the only resource I'd had before. We've been told Bond has cognitive impairment or delayed development. I learn something new in every therapy session with the AFT. I love my son and appreciate anyone who can give Bond the tools he needs to learn and grow. I am so thankful for the love and patience the AFT has given him. Bond is using the techniques he's learned and shows more self-control. Thank you for helping my son!"

Dustin Ellis is a lifesaver!

"My son, Jamal, was having a very hard time socializing. I tried other groups, but found that only the Autism Foundation was able to give him what he needed. I am so pleased that he is not just sitting there; they work with Jamal and make him socialize. Children come first at the AFT; it's all about them and their needs. Other services we tried did not know how to work with children with autism; they tried, but it was not was I was looking for. We've been coming over 5 months and I plan to keep bringing Jamal back as long as they will have us. Dustin Ellis is a lifesaver! Not only does he target the disability, but also he is pleasant to be around. Jamal loves Dustin! He is God sent and I can always reach him and the Autism Foundation when I need them."
